About Data Science Department
The Department of Data Science at Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Professional Management and Technology, Raipur offers a four-year full-time Bachelor of Technology program in Computer Science and Engineering(Data Science) under Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekananda Technical University (CSVTU), Bhilai to nurture students with the skills and knowledge necessary for advanced innovations in Data Science. The department is established in 2024 and is equipped with the state-of- the-art infrastructure and fosters academic innovations, and robust industrial collaborations to fulfil the quality education demanded by contemporary social and industrial challenges. It aims to prepare students as leaders and researchers in the field of Data Science.
Our Data Science division provide students with essential functional competencies, including proficiency in the technologies and tools pertinent to Data Science, while also providing a robust array of complementary skill sets. These incorporates a data- driven approach, critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, agility, self-motivation, interdisciplinary knowledge, and various soft skills. Our value addition curriculum equips students for excellence in Data Science while simultaneously cultivating their abilities as value producers and significant contributors to business operations.

It utilizes the principles of Data Analytics in conjunction with emerging technologies such as Big Data, Machine Learning, and Cloud Computing. At its core, Data Science is about solving complex problems and answering critical questions using data.
